Hey there friends, I'm so glad you're here. I'm Kaylee, born and raised in good ol'  Ontario, Canada. I'm extroverted, creatively driven, and fuelled by coffee.

I'm usually known for being the loudest one in the room, but also love my down time watching movies and baking with my boyfriend Kyle or drinking ciders with the girls. I have a strong love for country music, dachshunds, and baby goats (can you blame me?) and when I'm not designing, I'm capturing moments with couples and families over at Kaylee Larose Photography. 

I've always been fascinated by people and the stories they carry on their back. Graphic design and photography has allowed me to tell those stories and I couldn't be more thankful.

HOW IT STARTED...

where i got the name

Naming a business can be hard, next to impossible sometimes. But when you finally find the words they just "click". It'll make you feel some sort of way-like when you first take that sip of tea or coffee in the morning or when you slip into bed with newly washed sheets; its comfort, its home. 

For me, honeythorn definitely wasn't the first name I thought of when brainstorming, I must have had at least 30 names written down on a piece of paper. I knew I wanted my last name "Larose" to be incorporated somehow and I wanted the name to "feel" like my style. So, eventually, I took "rose" from my last name and turned it into thorn. To contrast the sting of the thorn I added something sweet; honey.

& VOILA, honeythorn was born! I knew the moment I said it outloud that it was the one.
